According to the World Health Organisation, ‘The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political belief, economic or social condition.’
We have seen through our work that it is exceedingly difficult for a community to flourish if their basic healthcare needs are not met. As such, we focus on ensuring that individuals in local communities have the healthcare support they need – this includes disability services, which are often neglected in regions such as South Asia where much of our healthcare work is centred.
The Leprosy Mission work with Chanchaga Orthopaedic Centre, Nigeria to provide funding towards helping 1,800+ people affected by leprosy.
Rangoonwala Trust supports Indus Hospital by donating funds for the construction of their new building and facilities, Pakistan
